heartbreak poem
poem.
My heart is broken.
Thousand pieces lost in dust.
Left in the shadow
of perfect love.
The sea made me sour,
the way the sea is made of salt.
I still remember your roses,
wilting while you slept so sound.
Sorry, I wrote this in advance
I don’t wanna cry no more.
But since I love beginnings,
I despise the bitter ends.
How can I believe in a thousand more,
when I really thought he was the one?
Oh, well… It’s just my stupid heart,
thinking love could outshine the dark.
I know, I still have a healthy heart
steady in its normal rhythm,
yet still open to a whimsy one.
Is it because I believed?
Or only because I loved?
I love you still,
there’s no denial in that.
But, oh god — you wanted me to fly away,
while my bird stayed in an open cage.
I would do it.
Yet you don’t understand at all —
It was my choice to stay.
It’s your choice too,
to let me go,
where your heart
decides when to go.
